- Purchases of nutrition consultations from Beta Me Nutrition can be made by direct debit, eftpos or cash prior to the beginning of the consultation. If there is a problem with a clients payment and the nutritionist cannot receive funds, notice shall be provided to the client. Where the client agrees to make payment within five days via other immediately available funds
- Additional charges apply for additional consultation time at $15 per additional 15 minutes.
- Cancellation within 48hrs of scheduled appointment incurs 100% forfeit of consultation fees.
- If under a multi-pay program and appointment cancellation is made within 48hrs of the scheduled consultation, patient will forfeit a single use coupon
- Multi-buy treatments can be used by one patient only and is applicable to services only. These cannot be exchanged for prescriptive products.
- The practitioner can refuse treatment with discretion of harm to self or the patient physically or emotionally.
- Refunds will not be issued on payments for any complete consultation package if the initial consultation is not scheduled by the client within three months after purchase by the client.
- Practitioners and Beta Me Nutrition will not be held responsible for ineffective outcomes, where patient non-compliance is evident and refund of services will not be obtained.
- Practitioners and Beta Me will not be held responsible for non-disclosure of vital information that may require treatment alteration.
- It is the responsibility of the patient to inform other practitioners (e.g. GP, Specialists, Naturopaths etc.) of the therapeutic relationship and treatments provided in consultations, unless strong working relationship are created between practitioners that is otherwise known by the patient (e.g. Nutritionist –GP contact).
- If a patient is deemed to be late to an appointment, the appointment will run according to the original time as to not hinder the time management of other patients scheduled for appointments.
- Time-related commitments will be discussed and agreed upon after the initial consultation where, based on the clients needs, additional consultations and times between consultations may be required for a desirable outcome.
- The client agrees to have the consultation with the practitioner by phone, onlineor in person at the agreed-upon time by both parties. Failure of the client to phone or show up for the scheduled consultation will result in loss of the service for which he/she has paid unless the client phones or emails the practitioner to cancel the appointment at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled consultation. (This condition may be waived in special circumstances or unexpected emergency situations. However, waiving this condition and agreeing to reschedule the consultation is left entirely to the discretion of the practitioner)
- The practitioner does not claim to cure any conditions and uses best practice and scope of practice ONLY, to support, identify and address possible causes.
Dietary advice is formulated based on individual client needs and is therefore, not recommended to be shared with others for use in their own health goals as it is improbable that it will meet the needs of the individual it is shared with.
It is understood that the client is paying for nutrition advice and professional opinion based on qualifications in the study of scientific literature, clinical experience, and experience. The information provided by the nutritionist does not imply medical advice and will not replace medical advice, where it will remain in the scope of practice of your nutritionist only.
The client agrees to use sound logic to understand and balance any information provided by the nutritionist with information provided by the clients specialist or GP. Diagnosing conditions, and prescribing or changing the dosages of pharmaceutical drugs are not performed by the nutritionist and can be performed by the clients specialist or GP only. The nutritionist disclaims any and all liability arising directly or indirectly from the use or application of the information provided in nutrition consultation.
By accepting the services provided by the nutritionist, the client acknowledges and agrees to assume the risk of the non-medical nature and limitations of the nutrition consultations and of the application of the information provided. Every effort is made to improve the clients health, however, the client understands that no warranty or guarantee has been made to him or her concerning any specific outcome or cure of his or her condition(s).
Telehealth Consultations – Terms & Conditions
Bookings
- You can book a Skype consultation by emailing enquiries@betame.com.au or online on the book now page
- When you request a booking, you will be asked for the following details:
- Full name (required)
- Email address (required)
- Skype username
- Telephone
- Notes/queries/comments
- You will be sent a registration form, Terms and Conditions and food diary to sign and complete.
- Should you book via the online booking method you can choose to pay via PayPal. You can also pay directly where you will be sent direct deposit account details for payment to be made on booking confirmation.
- You may also pay by credit card over the phone by calling 0413 119 161
- The details you supply will be used only for the purposes of your consultation and communication for your consultation.
- You will not be signed up to external mailing lists or have your data shared with others.
The Consultation
- Before our consultation, you will be sent an email that confirms the booking.
- The confirmation email will confirm the practitioners Skype username to be used, even if your booking is intended to be for a telephone consultation. You may add the practitioners username as a contact in Skype if you wish, but is not necessary for consultations. For Zoom consultations, a meeting invitation will be send to your email.
- To begin the consultation, your practitioner will contact you first by Skype. If there is no answer, your practitioner will attempt to call you via Telephone. For Zoom consultations, please enter the meeting 5 minutes prior to commencement.
- Consultations are 75 minutes for initials or 30 minutes for follow ups. It is normal for conversation to run over time at times, but please respect the time of your practitioner and other clients that may be following you.
- Your practitioner has a busy schedule with many clients to assist on their own journeys. Please ensure that you are ready for the consultation at the agreed time. If there are circumstances beyond your control or the control of the practitioner, rescheduling of part or the entirety of the consultation may be necessary.
- With that, your practitioners and other clients time is also treasured, therefore, the following withdrawal policy is in place
- Up to 48 hours notice and reschedule – no charge.
- Up to 12hrs cancellation and reschedule – 50% charge.
- Less than 3 hours notice – 100% cancellation charge.
- The practitioner cannot guarantee a precise outcome from the consultation, however, everything will be done to ensure you receive the highest quality support and nutritional advice.
- It is to be remembered that implementation is the clients responsibility. Guidance and advice only, is provided by the practitioner, however, if the client does not follow this advice appropriately, the outcome cannot fall on the practitioner.

Please read these Terms and Conditions in full before booking your Skype consultation. These Terms and Conditions constitute a legal agreement between you and Beta Me.
1. Contract
This purchase forms a binding contract between you and Beta Me. By booking and paying for your Skype Consultation you agree to be bound by these terms.
2. Payment & Refunds
Payments must be made via PayPal or direct deposit to the account owned by Beta Me. Payment is expected upon booking confirmation. Payment must be received in full prior to the commencement of your consultation. There are no refunds for this service.
3. Prohibited Use
All materials resulting from our work together are for your personal information only. They are not to be copied, resold or shared with third parties for profit, health benefit to others or for any other reason. Beta Me retains all copyright and other proprietary notices. No other use of the materials or information is authorised.
4. Nutrition Advice
Skype consultations are provided by an Accredited Clinical Nutritionist with a degree level qualification in the area of nutrition, dietary and nutritional prescription and are for your information and guidance only. Any information/advice should not replace medical advice provided to you by a medical doctor.
5. Please read this Agreement carefully
If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, please do not proceed with your Skype consultation.
6. Booking Times
Once your booking time is secured, we will notify you via email. Booking times are firm, and are set for 1.5 hours for initial consultations and 45 minutes for follow up consultations. No additional time will be allocated for late starts, so please connect with us on time.
7. Changes to Bookings
Changes to consultation time is by mutual agreement only, with at least 24 hours notice. Where possible we will try to accommodate reasonable requests. Non-attendance at scheduled time without notice may result in cancellation of the booking without refund.

9. Internet Connections/Connectivity Issues
It is understood that a strong internet connection is required by the client for an effective consultation. Should connectivity issues become a problem, phone consultation may be accepted as a suitable alternative until the client can access a sufficient internet connection. This, however, may affect the effectiveness of the consultation process and it is the clients responsibility to rectify this.
Privacy Policy
The practitioner will not disclose any personal information received from clients or website visitors to any third parties. The only exceptions to this are if the counselor asks for and receives written permission from the client or website visitor, or as required by law or by a government agency.

Payment Terms
For consultations, testing and product sales made online, we operate on a pay in advance basis in Australian dollars (AUD). This means that for your consultation appointment booking to be confirmed, you will need to pay in advance. Once payment has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email and booking times to schedule your appointment with the practitioner.
To protect your safety and privacy, credit card payments will not be taken over the phone and will only be accepted through secure online payments such as PayPal, Square and Stripe.
Cancellation, Rescheduling & Refund Policy
We require 48 hours-notice via email or phone call if you need to reschedule your consultation. Please note that cancelling via email or phone with less that 48-hours notice will result in 50% of the consultation fee being charged. Less than 48 hours will be charged at 100% . No refunds will be given for cancellations with less than 24-hours notice.
No refunds will be provided on testing requests as laboratories are paid at the time of customer payment.
We understand that sometimes things happen, however, short-notice cancellations do not allow time for other clients to book. If more than 24-hours notice is given, we can (subject to availability) reschedule your appointment, without any penalty fee being charged. Online Purchases and Meal Plans Refund Policy
No refunds will be provided to meal plans purchased online or during consultation as the product is final and complete. Change of mind refunds are not provided on these services.
No refunds will be provided on ‘Basic Personalised Meal Plans’ once payment has been made and questionnaire has been completed as the practitioner has already begun working on this for you. Change of mind refunds are not provided on these services.
Online Consultations
Unable to Attend Online Consultation Because of Internet Disruption (& Refund Policy)
If we have an online consultation booked and the internet service becomes disrupted, on your side or Beta Me’, to the level that the consultation can no longer continue, we can either continue the consultation via telephone, or, if necessary, reschedule to a more suitable time. If the internet disruption is occurring at Beta Me, and it is not possible for you to reschedule, you will be refunded the full consultation fee.
General Refund Policy
Please note both the ‘Cancellation Policy’ and the ‘Unable to Attend Online Consultation Because of Internet Disruption’ sections above. Generally, refunds will not be given for consultations when less than 24-hours notice was given to cancel or appointments that have already taken place. In the event that Beta Me needs to cancel or reschedule a consultation with you, you will either be given a refund or we can reschedule to a time that suits you.
Health Fund Rebates
A rebate may be available from your private health fund for nutrition consultations depending on your policy and provider. Please contact your individual health fund for more information.
Insurance Covers Australia
Beta Me and your practitioner are based in Australia. Our insurance coverage does not at this time cover practising in the United States (US) or Canada. If you are living in the US or Canada, we cannot offer our consultation services. If you are located in another country outside of Australia, we’ll confirm with our insurance company prior to committing to your consultation.
Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. The information we collect from you is to enable us to provide our nutrition services to you.
