Meet NDIS Nutritionist Danielle Lamb

I am an Accredited Clinical Nutritionist and Naturopath with a Bachelor of Health Science in Nutritional Medicine and a Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy. I am also a member of the Australian Natural Therapies Association.

I work directly with participants and the people supporting them. Where practical, I prefer to work in the participant’s usual food environment because this can make the guidance easier to apply between sessions.

Danielle’s attitude, personality and expertise in implementing a complete new diet and meal plan has made an incredible difference to my daughter’s health.

Who Can Use Beta Me NDIS Nutrition Services

I am not a registered NDIS provider. I currently work with self managed and plan managed participants who may be able to use approved funding for suitable nutrition services.

Eligibility depends on the participant’s plan, goals and disability related needs. Participants should confirm whether the proposed service can be funded with their plan manager or support coordinator before booking. I can explain the service and provide pricing information to support that discussion.

How to Arrange NDIS Nutrition Support

1

When making an enquiry, please provide the participant’s location, main goals, the type of help required and whether the plan is self managed or plan managed. It is also helpful to explain who will attend the session and whether a support worker, carer or family member will be involved.

2

I can then explain which Beta Me service may be suitable, where it can be delivered and what information is needed before the first appointment.

NDIS Nutrition Services, Areas and Pricing

NDIS Nutritionist Service Areas and Pricing

NDIS pricing depends on the service selected and the travel distance required. In home services are available across selected Gold Coast areas. Clinic appointments are available at Runaway Bay, and telehealth consultations are available across Australia.

Contact me with the participant’s location and required support for current pricing and travel information.

In home meal preparation and cooking support

In Home Meal Preparation and Cooking Support

In home sessions take place in the participant’s own kitchen where possible. This allows the support to reflect the equipment, space, food and routines they use every day.

Sessions may include cooking demonstrations, guided meal preparation and batch cooking for the week ahead. Recipes and preparation methods can be adjusted to suit the participant’s ability, preferences and sensory or texture needs. Prepared meals may also be frozen for later use where appropriate.

In home cooking and food preparation support is available across selected Gold Coast locations. See more information about in home nutrition consultations.

NDIS supermarket shopping and food label guidance

NDIS Supermarket Shopping and Food Label Guidance

Guided supermarket tours can help participants become more confident choosing products, comparing food labels and moving through the supermarket. The session is practical and can focus on the participant’s usual shopping environment and food requirements.

I can also assist participants and carers to review approved ready meal options and consider which choices are more suitable for the participant’s stated goals and health requirements.

Nutrition consultations for NDIS participants

Nutrition Consultations for NDIS Participants

Clinical nutrition consultations are available at the Runaway Bay clinic or through telehealth. These consultations provide time to discuss eating habits, food intake, digestion and the nutritional side of relevant physical or mental health concerns.

The consultation may include a review of feeding concerns, digestive symptoms, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, physical health and recovery where these areas are relevant to nutrition and within my scope of practice.

Where another professional is needed, I may recommend that the participant, carer or support coordinator speak with an Accredited Practising Dietitian, speech pathologist, GP or another appropriate practitioner.

NDIS nutrition support for everyday food skills

NDIS Nutrition Support for Everyday Food Skills

Food and nutrition support may involve more than receiving a meal plan. Some participants need practical help to choose food, prepare meals, understand labels or establish routines they can repeat with greater confidence.

I work directly with participants to identify the food related tasks that connect with their plan goals and everyday needs. The support provided will depend on the participant’s circumstances, capacity and the type of service considered appropriate within their plan.

Tell Me What Support the Participant Needs

Share the participant’s location, plan management type and support goals. I can explain the available services and confirm whether I can provide suitable support.
