Holistic Naturopath Gold Coast and Naturopathic Nutritionist

Danielle Lamb, Gold Coast naturopath and nutritionist

If you’re looking for a naturopath on the Gold Coast, you’ve probably already tried the usual route. Maybe your blood tests came back normal, your GP appointment felt too rushed to really dig into anything, or you’ve got a handful of symptoms that don’t seem connected to anyone but you.

That’s frustrating, and it’s also incredibly common. Most people who come to see me have been told they’re fine when they know they’re not.

I’m Danielle Lamb, a Gold Coast naturopath and nutritionist with 12 years in practice. Being qualified in both nutrition and naturopathy means everything gets looked at together, what you’re eating, your hormones, your gut, your stress, all of it factoring into the one treatment plan.

I see clients at my Runaway Bay clinic, online via telehealth anywhere in Australia, and in-home if you’re on the Gold Coast.

What I Actually Do as Your Naturopath

When you come in, I want to understand the full picture before I suggest anything. Symptoms are often connected even when they don’t feel like it, so I take the time to look at your digestion, your hormones, your nutrient levels, your sleep and your stress, and how they’re all affecting each other.

I work with clients across Runaway Bay, Southport, Hope Island, Paradise Point and the wider northern Gold Coast, and what comes up again and again is that nobody’s had the time to actually connect the dots before. What you end up with here is a plan built specifically around what’s actually going on for you.

What a Gold Coast Naturopath Can Help You With

After 12 years in clinic, a few things come up again and again. If any of this sounds like you, it’s exactly the kind of thing I work with every week.

Gut and digestive issues

Bloating, IBS, food intolerances and reflux that haven’t fully resolved no matter what you’ve tried. More on digestive health.

Hormonal struggles

PMS, PCOS, perimenopause, or that wired but exhausted feeling that often points to adrenal fatigue.

Anxiety that feels physical

Racing heart, tight chest, gut symptoms that flare up whenever stress kicks in. More on anxiety support.

Stress that’s gone on too long

When you genuinely can’t remember the last time you felt calm and settled. More on stress support.

Fatigue and brain fog

The kind of tired that sleep alone never seems to fix, no matter how much you get.

Skin that won’t settle

Eczema, acne and psoriasis that often have more to do with what’s happening internally.

Getting sick more than you’d like

Always seeming to catch whatever happens to be going around at the time.

Weight that won’t shift

Even when you’re doing everything that’s supposed to be working for you.

Nutrient deficiencies

Often the missing piece behind ongoing fatigue, low mood and poor sleep. More on nutritional deficiencies.

Disordered eating

Compassionate, clinically informed support for your relationship with food. More here.

If what you’re dealing with isn’t on this list, get in touch and ask. There’s a good chance I can still help.

How I Treat You as Your Gold Coast Naturopath

What I actually use depends entirely on what comes up in your consultation, but here’s what’s typically on the table.

Herbal medicine

Practitioner grade herbs prescribed specifically for you, always checked against anything you’re already taking.

Nutrition and meal plans

Practical changes built around your goals and your actual life, with personalised meal planning available separately if you want more structure.

Functional pathology testing

Where standard blood tests haven’t told you much, functional testing can often add a lot more detail.

Body impedance analysis

A simple way to track your body composition and nutritional status as we go along.

Lifestyle changes that are realistic

I’ll point you to the two or three changes that’ll actually make the biggest difference first.

What Happens at Your First Naturopath Consultation

Danielle Lamb consulting with a client

Your first consultation goes for 1.5 hours and I use every bit of it.

We’ll talk through your full health history, your current symptoms, sleep, digestion, diet, energy, hormones if that’s relevant, and any medications or supplements you’re currently taking. I might run a Body Impedance Analysis while you’re here. If you’ve got recent blood test results, bring them along.

By the time you leave, you’ll have a treatment plan that’s actually prioritised. The two or three things that’ll make the biggest difference first, not a list you’ll never get through.

Follow-up appointments are shorter and we use them to check what’s working, change what isn’t, and keep things moving forward.

You don’t need to walk in with answers already worked out. That’s what I’m there for.

Naturopath Consultation Fees Gold Coast

Initial consultation

$200

1.5 hours. A full health assessment, your treatment plan, and herbal medicine or supplement recommendations if you need them.

Follow-up appointments

$120

We check your progress, adjust the plan, and work through whatever’s come up since your last visit.

Nutrition guidance is included in every consultation. If you want a structured, written meal plan on top of that, it’s available as a separate service.

Private Health Cover for Naturopathy Gold Coast

If cost is something you’re thinking about, here’s some good news. Naturopathy and Western herbal medicine became eligible again for private health insurance rebates from July 2025, after being excluded since 2019. Each fund decides individually if they cover it and what they’ll pay, so it’s worth checking with your insurer before you book.

If you’ve got nutrition cover, that’s been claimable through several funds for a while now too.

I’ll give you a proper receipt after every appointment so you can claim back whatever your fund allows.

Questions People Ask Before Seeing a Gold Coast Naturopath

A nutritionist works specifically with food and meal planning. As a naturopath I go further, using herbal medicine, functional testing and a deeper investigation into what’s driving your symptoms. I trained in both, so consultations draw on whichever is most relevant to your situation.

Naturopathy sits outside Medicare so bulk billing doesn’t apply. Private health cover is a separate question and worth checking with your insurer directly.

My approach draws on current research in nutritional and herbal medicine. I won’t recommend something without a clear clinical reason, and if something isn’t necessary I’ll tell you that.

It genuinely depends on what we’re working on. Some people feel a real shift within four to six weeks. More complex or long-standing issues usually take two to three months of consistent work. I’ll give you a clearer picture after your first appointment once I can actually see what’s going on.

Telehealth is available anywhere in Australia, not currently for clients in the US or Canada. Book a telehealth appointment here.
